The Vermont Campaign for Health Care Security Education Fund's two main objectives are:
Currently, the Education Fund has a Montpelier-based director and five field staff working to assist Vermonters based in Chittenden, Franklin and Addison County. Our goal is to have a field staff based in each of Vermont's 14 counties. The Education Fund was established in January of 2007 by AARP Vermont, the Vermont-National Education Association, the Vermont Public Interest Research Group and the Vermont Citizens Campaign for Health. America's Agenda: Health Care for All. Beginning December 1st, the Education Fund in conjunction with Vermont Interfaith Action is undertaking a faith based health care outreach campaign to engage Vermont’s faith communities to help Vermonters learn about and enroll in Catamount Health, VHAP and Medicaid. Our goal is to mobilize Vermont’s faith communities both in support of the Education Fund’s public education work and our effort to expand the eligibility criteria for Catamount Health. Contact us if you wish to schedule one of our staff members to speak to you or your organization. If you have a question about the benefits or eligibility for one of these programs, email us or call us at 1-866-482-4723. The Education Fund is a non-partisan, non-profit 501c3 organization.
